
Lowell started acting in Dangerously Close, followed by an appearance in Club Paradise, starring as Robin Williams. Then she moved on to other roles, including co-starring with Bond girl Pam Bouvier in the James Bond movie Licence to Kill (1989) and, starting in 1996 as the assistant district attorney Jamie Ross for two seasons on the tv drama Law & Order, a character she reprised on the show in 2005 as a guest in the spinoff series, Law & Order: Trial by Jury, and also on the original series in 2022, when it was relaunched for a 21st-season. [6] Immediately before getting that role, however she was unhappy with her acting career , and she had decided to study documentary filmmaking at New York University.
