StephanieStephanie Sigman is a Mexican American actress. Her first appearance was in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime-drama film. The actress went on to play in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015), Going Under (2016) and Annabelle: Creation (2017). Sigman appeared in Narcos (2015) as and S.W.A.T.(2017) in the second and first seasons, respectively. Sigman was born to her Mexican mother, as well as an American father, Lee Sigman (a New York Yankees Scout from Kansas), who were both born in Ciudad Obregon. Sigman is an American citizen through her father. Her father, the baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman was her mother. She began her career on Mexican television before making her film debut in Rio de Oro. In 2011 she played the lead part of Laura Guerrero in the Mexican crime drama film, Miss Bala. The film was picked as the Mexican entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards. it did not make the cut. [9] Sigman was nominated for a Dublin Film Critics' Circle Award in 2011 for her role in the film. In the following year, she played Catalina Aguado in the Canadian documentary film Flight of the Butterflies. In 2013, Sigman starred with Pioneer in the Norwegian thriller.
