Taylor Swift has become a rare pop phenomenon: A celebrity who has strayed from country music to pop culture and became a pop icon that will last forever and conquering every corner of the globe. Swift has thrown off her country roots like they were second skins revealing herself to be one of the best pop singers and songwriters within her generation. She has the ability to tap into the current trend and create her personal. This was evident in her earliest hits especially the Neo-tribute Tim McGraw but her second album 2008's Fearless featured a singer-songwriter figuring out her true identity and, in doing so, gaining the mass market. Fearless was successful not only on American soil, with six platinum-certified songs. The Top Ten songs Love Story and You Belong with Me were the main reasons for this. It also performed well all over the world. Swift reached the heights of the charts with Speak Now. With her subsequent three albums, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017), Swift's popularity grew and she found herself in a music scene in which it became clear she deserved to be. Although she slowed down the production of her folklore album, and Evermore released in 2020, she was still in the forefront of pop music.
